Since the early 70s, Lago Vista Lodge on Lake Guerrero
has been hosting bass anglers and wingshooters from
around the world. Lago Vista is located on Lake Guerrero
in Tamaulipas, Mexico near Ciudad Victoria. The lodge
lies at the north end of the lake, a short drive from
the water depending on lake levels. It's the ideal
setting for a vacation - far from the cares of the
world, yet easily accessible. Commercial flights will
bring you to Harlingen or McAllen Texas. We'll meet you
there, then drive you down to Lake Guerrero in
comfortable air-conditioned vans and suburbans. If you
charter or fly your own plane, Ciudad Victoria has a
major airport located a short 45 minutes from the
lodge. For those who prefer to drive, we'll provide
directions and current road information.

You fish on Lake Guerrero
where you glimpse the brilliant plumage of a variety of
waterfowl. Or, you try one of the hauntingly beautiful
"stump coves", where the big bass hang out. After the
morning fishing, you arrive back at Lago Vista Lodge for
lunch followed by a little siesta time before the
afternoon activities. Our guides then escort you back
on Lake Guerrero for an afternoon of fishing. As the
day drifts toward sunset, it's back to the lodge where
you relax on the patio or at the bar sipping an ice cold
margarita or cervesa. This is the best time of the
day... reflecting on the excitement of the day's
activities. These bass fishing trips are perfect for
bass anglers who want to experience exciting Mexico bass
fishing without spending a fortune doing it.

Lake Guerrero is 100,000 acres at full pool and
has many islands plus two rivers - the Corona and the
Purificacion, as well as submerged roads and creek beds
which produce trophy bass for our guests. Submerged
trees and fence lines also provide staging areas for
many of these big fish. Guerrero is full of Tilapia and
Shad which are the main forage for the bass. The lake
level is up and holding steady. This means great fishing
for you!
Your guided dove hunts will be on private farmers
fields leased exclusively by Lago Vista. These are the
perfect feeding grounds for these huge populations of
white wing and mourning dove. Also experienced in duck
and quail hunts, Lago Vista Lodge will make sure your
hunting experience is a memorable one.
You will also be hunting dove & quail in the
nearby foothills which provide an additional food source
and nesting areas for the thousands of dove & quail in
this area! Your package includes all trips to the field.
Prices start at just $1,025.00 which includes your
hunting license and permit, lodging, r/t transportation
from Harlingen or McAllen, Texas, three meals a day,
beverages with meals and while hunting. All you need to
bring is your desire to shoot birds!

October ends in late June / early July. The Amazon peacock
