Peacock Bass Fishing in BrazilPeacock Bass Fishing in Brazil
Amazon Bass Fishing on the Rio Negro River. If you enjoy fishing, whether you are a novice or seasoned professional, and are ready for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure fishing for the ferocious peacock bass, Worldwide Bass Fishing offers the finest peacock bass fishing operation in the world. Called "tucunare" in Portuguese, the peacock bass is a born ambusher and one of the most ferocious freshwater fish you'll find anywhere. Acrobatic brawlers on a line, they snap 30-lb. monofilament like thread, straighten saltwater hooks, mangle lures and send rods home in more pieces than you came with. They are almost exclusively diurnal and aren't the least bit sun-shy, hitting most lures at the surface with explosive force. They're not too choosey about baits, but landing them is guaranteed to be one of the toughest freshwater fights you'll ever get in. You'll love every second of it.

Peacocks come in several varieties, including speckled, black-barred, butterfly and royal. In our area of the Amazon, we see all of them except royal. The world record peacock (a 27-pounder caught by one our anglers) is speckled. These varieties range in color and size, but the behavior is pretty much the same. Mean. Aggressive. Territorial. We fish from the latest bass boats using Falcon rods, Shimano reels, and various topwater lures including Luhr Jenson and Highroller lures. We also provide 80 pound braided lines and IGFA certified Boga grips. Each of our guides is outfitted with a digital camera to record your incredible catches.

Daily we will wake you at 5:30 am for breakfast and Peacock Bass fishing. Your guide will be ready at the dock in the morning with rods, reels, tackle, and a cooler of drinks.  You can fish as long as you like up until 5pm.  We require that the guides return on time to ensure all the guest arrive back safely as it gets dark around 6pm. Contact us today to reserve your dates for giant peacock bass fishing in the Brazilian Amazon. This is truly a Trip of a Lifetime!
