Home of World Record Peacock Bass

Rio Negro Lodge is only a 20 minute boat ride from where the 27 pound IGFA all tackle world record peacock bass was caught in 1994. Since the lodge was completed in late October of 1998, lodge anglers have experienced excellent fishing with peacock bass up to 26 pounds being caught. Rio Negro Lodge opened in October of 1998 and offers peacock bass anglers the finest in land based accommodations in the heart of Brazil's world record peacock bass fishing. The lodge is located 60 river miles upriver from Barcelos on the southern bank of the famous Rio Negro River. The location for the Rio Negro Lodge was carefully selected in the heart of Brazil's finest trophy peacock bass fishery.
