Thousands of pintails, teals, gadwalls, bluebills, native whistling tree ducks and muscoveys call Lake Guerrero and surrounding ponds their wintering grounds. Mexico’s liberal limits make this an attractive hunt. Hunting is out of portable or pop up blinds in order to be where the ducks are. Season runs between mid November and mid February with the best concentrations in December - mid January. Typically we duck hunt in the morning then quail or dove in the afternoon.

We can cater any trip to accommodate your group. Please contact us to discuss what you’d like to do.

ABOUT: Lake Guerrero and surrounding smaller lakes hold excellent populations of ducks during the season. Mexico has a generous 25 per day limit with little pressure. Common ducks are teal, widgeon, whistling tree ducks, mallards, and muscovy. Hunting is from blinds with experienced guides who pre scout for best concentrations.

ITIERARY

  • Each morning will begin with coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice from local orchards. After a prepared to order breakfast your guide will pick you up for the morning hunt.

  • You will settle into the blind for the morning flight w/ coffee and snacks just in case there’s a lull.

  • After the morning hunt it’s back to the Lodge for Margaritas and jokes over who hit and who missed. Our Chef and his staff will prepare a satisfying lunch before a siesta, or ballgame on tv, or just enjoying the exquisite scenery.

  • That afternoon your guide will suggest more duck hunting if you didn’t limit out or possibly dove or quail.

  • After the afternoon hunt it’s drinks by the pool, and great fellowship followed by another of our chef’s 5-star creations accompanied by a selection of wine from our wine room.
